Week 3
3 weeks after hair transplant, current progress.
Week 4
4 weeks post hair transplant.
Week 5 and 6
Hair transplant 5 months post op pictures, and 6 weeks after hair transplant.
For the first few weeks post-op, you can’t stop looking at your hair in the mirror every day. Truth be told there isn’t a huge amount happening though.
About 80% of the newly transplanted hair has fallen out and I’m just waiting for it to grow back. I was hoping to see a little growth by now but progress is slow. I know it will be at least 12 weeks to see any real progress though.
The redness on my hairline has reduced quite a bit. It is still visible but I would say that I just look a little sunburnt at the front.
At the back of my head, you can’t see anything anymore. If you look really closely and move the hair around you can see a little redness, but you have to be close to see this.
I’m healing well, it’s just a case of being patient at this point.
Some information I got told.
3 to 5 weeks after a FUE hair transplant, the transplanted hair will begin to fall out. This is a normal part of the healing process and is not a cause for concern. The hair follicles will enter a dormant phase and will begin to grow new hair in 3-4 months.
During this time, it’s important to take care of the transplanted area and to avoid any activities that may cause trauma to the area. The surgeon will give you instructions on how to care for the area, including how to wash your hair, what types of products to use, and when to return for follow-up appointments.
It’s also important to be patient during this period, as hair growth takes time. It can take up to a year for the full results to be visible. In the meantime, you may see some initial hair regrowth, but the hair may be thin, and the final results will be visible after some time.
