I passed the previous night in the comfort of my own bed, and presently, I’m in good spirits. I’m proceeding with caution and following the aftercare advice given to me, which entails consuming my antibiotics and administering saline spray to my head hourly.
The redness has reduced a little more and scabbing has formed. The pad I slept on last night was pretty much clean this morning, so I don’t think I will need to sleep with a pad under my head tonight.
The swelling on my forehead is moving down my forehead now. It’s gone from the hairline down to the middle of my forehead.
I have started to massage it as advised, putting my fingers in the middle of my forehead and lightly moving them outwards towards the temples. I have done this 2 or 3 times today.
I have a tight feeling on the back of my head where the grafts were taken from today. As the skin is starting to heal and the swelling is reducing the skin is starting to feel hard and tight.
It doesn’t cause too much discomfort. It’s more something that you are aware of rather than something that causes pain.
