Why hasn’t Willian decided to undergo a hair transplant? There are likely many reasons the future monarch has refrained from having a hair transplant, most of which are possibly private and should not be openly talked about.
Prince William may not be a good candidate for a hair transplant because there would be colossal press coverage worldwide, causing unwanted attention and embarrassment for the future monarch.
Male Pattern Baldness
As the year’s progress, most of us will experience some hair loss, and for those of us who are predisposed to hair loss, the inevitable will happen.
In the case of Prince William, he has lost his hair at a relatively young age, with his sibling Harry catching up at a rapid pace.
However, men feel about losing their hair, and the fact is it’s all about genetics.
If you look at the recently deceased Prince Philip and his son Prince Charles, they all have the same characteristics of hair loss.
So, it’s no real shock to expect Prince Willian and Prince Harry to follow the genetic code. Indeed their children will at some time experience the same fate.
Has William Passed The Point Of No Return To Have Hair Replacement Surgery?
There is a point when surgery is not a viable option. The hair transplant surgery may not be an option for people who have lost so much hair at a young age for the following reasons.
In terms of meeting your expectations, you may not have enough hair left to transplant. You have lost a substantial portion of your hair, and a transplant would never restore your full head of hair.
Looking at the rapid hair recession for Willian, I would think it’s okay, but I’m not a professional.
What Happened To Williams’s Hair?
Hair loss is normal in men and women. We lose hair daily, and women tend to notice hair loss more than men simply because their hairstyles are longer and the hair is more visible.
At night when we toss and turn in bed, we create friction and our hair breaks and even comes out by the roots, never to grow again.
In Prince William’s Case, his hair loss is more complicated but equally common among men worldwide.
We all know that the primary male hormone is testosterone, which makes men, men. Testosterone is singularly responsible for many aspects of the male attributes, from the hair on our body to our manly voices and the hair on our heads and the amount of aggression we can display.
However, from testosterone, we can convert it into an androgen hormone called DHT Dihydrotestosterone.
DHT is where the problems lie. DHT is responsible for male pattern baldness, and it causes your hair to fall over some time.
Hereditary
Mainly the production of DHT is a hereditary condition. It does mean you are less of a man. It could suggest the opposite with the adage “bald men are more virile”.
I’m not sure if bald men are more virile, but they are producing more DHT. Hence they lose their hair.
Age is not a factor. Most of us lose our hairdo so in our 40’s or 50’s, but some can start losing their hair in their late teens and early twenties.
Interestingly your father does not need to be bald, and it is just your turn to express the family genetics.
How can Willian protect his remaining hair?
If you use aggressive shampoos, then this can cause hair loss and irritation to the scalp. If this is your case, change to a mild shampoo and take better care of those diminishing hair follicles.
Willian could take a drug called Propecia.
Let’s discuss what’s the leading cause of Willian’s hair loss. Prince William is producing DHT or the full name Dihydrotestosterone.
If you were to have hair transplant surgery, then Propecia or Finasteride would be prescribed by the doctor or surgeon.
Propecia and Finasteride are precisely the same drugs so let’s not get hung up over names.
Propecia Is a drug that blocks DHT and prevents hair loss. It is a widely used drug for treating hair loss and has its origins in fighting prostate cancer.
DHT is a somewhat powerful drug and comes with some potential side effects, and unless His hair loss perturbs William, I doubt he would consider taking Propecia.
Side Effects Of Propecia
Although a significant drug in many respects, there are reports through clinical studies of side effects, which some can be long term.
- Erectile dysfunction, you may find it challenging to attain an erection or maintain the erection. This side effect dissipates typically quickly once you cease taking the drug.
- Confusion and disorientation
- Cold sweats
- Dizziness
And a few more side effects. It is reported that the side effects are few and far between and only affect 2% of male users.
Why Can’t Prince William Shave His Head?
Is there a royal protocol against shaved heads? I doubt it very much, and if Prince Willian wants to Share his remaining locks, it’s his personal decision.
I seem to recall from recent years Prince William did have a very close haircut, and he looked fabulous as he sported his new look.
For those of us who are less fortunate in the gene department than Prince Willian, a shaved head can make us look thuggish and is not a good look unless you want to scare someone half to death.
The truth is Prince Willian is free to do whatever he sees fit with his barnet, or in his case, lack of barnet.
He has excellent defined features, and he carries himself exceptionally well. This now middle-aged man would be considered a sex symbol if he wasn’t married to Kate.
However, Prince William decides to cut or not cut his hair. No one can dispute the fact he is a good looking guy, and he can carry off whatever style of hair he wishes.
Media Intrusion
If Prince Willian did decide to have a hair transplant, can you imagine the intrusive media attention he would get?
Let’s not forget the low opinion of the media both Prince William and Harry have for excellent reasons.
Any invitation to the media to scrutinise the actions of our future Monarch would not be missed.
A hair transplant would certainly garner worldwide attention and probably wrongfully cast some aspersions over why William would do such a thing.
It may bring some doubt into his confidence as a person and the acceptance of his appearance. It simply would not be worth the potential embarrassment as the media clamour for a story.
Why don’t the royals get hair transplants
The royal family is known for their strict protocols and traditional ways of living. They have to maintain a certain image and reputation, so they are expected to adhere to certain standards. Hair transplants are a modern medical procedure, and the royal family may not see it as fitting with their image or tradition.
Another reason the royal family may not get hair transplants is that they have access to the best hair care professionals. They have hairstylists and barbers who are trained to care for their hair and keep it looking healthy. They can also use hairpieces, wigs, or hair extensions to achieve a certain look.
Lastly, hair loss is a natural part of aging, and the royal family may not feel the need to undergo a surgical procedure to address it. They may choose to embrace the natural changes to their hair and not see the need to alter it with a transplant. Additionally, hair transplants are not a one-time procedure, they require multiple sessions and maintenance, which could be difficult for a busy royal schedule.
The Bottom Line
Prince William is a recognised figure throughout the world, and it is doubtful he will try and change his appearance in any way.
Why should he? He is a good looking man who many of us would change within a heartbeat to have his good looks.
Why go through the hassle with the media? Would the result be worth the hassle?
He has a beautiful adoring wife and kids. Who could ever imagine Prince William sporting a full head of hair again?
